Today

Today I had the day off.

With Bella.

We never changed out of yesterday's clothes.
We cleaned the kitchen.
We played in dirt.
We played in the sunshine.
We laughed at Bella's new word, Ow, and all the ways she manages to use it.
We ran errands that caused Bella to miss both of her naps.
We sang in the car.
We argued about whether or not biting the boob that feeds you is acceptable revenge for sleep torture.
We held each other tight and cried our frustrations out in the quiet of the car.
We greeted Daddy with reckless abandon as if he were the oxygen we needed to survive the day.
We hugged and giggled.
We cleaned up poo that Bella tracked across the living room.
We admired the clean spots on the dirty carpet.
We played Fetch the Shirt Behind the Dryer where Bella was perched as I folded laundry.
We smiled through our tears watching our beautiful slideshow by the amazing Traci.
We snuggled up to sleep.

We had a wonderful day.
